My Faves of 2011

Wow...I can hardly believe how fast this year has gone by and that it is about to be 2012. I started off the year still on mat leave with my youngest and slowly started back into photography. After Christmas is always a bit of a slower time, but we slowly ramped up with newborns until the weather was nice enough to head back outside for family shoots again. It finished with a bit of a flurry/bang/craziness with me back working part time at the hospital and no less than 18 (+/- a couple impromtu family sessions of my family and extended family!) fall/winter sessions from the last weekend in September until the first week of December. I think I have carpal tunnel and eye and neck strain from all the editing. But needless to say after countless beautiful Holiday cards and print orders arriving at my door I am proud to say I am done for the year! I even managed to get my own card out again this year.
Since it was such a fun and busy year I decided that I should do a little recap/contest on the blog to pick my favorite photos from the year and let you decide which is YOUR favorite. I would also like to say after combing through the thousands of photos from the past year that there were SO MANY to choose from it was very hard to narrow down. These photos I chose for their quality/feel/lighting/and overall Rumor has it..Photo Style! I have also left out my family (and extended family) from the contest as I have a number of photos of them but that just wouldn't be fair! I'll post my favorites of them later!
And what would a good contest be without a prize at the end! Please vote in the linked doodle poll for your favorite photo. On January 1st I will count the votes and the family with the highest number of votes will receive (since I love to print a big photo!) a 16 x 20 print of their photo (an $80 value!) Please forward to your family, friends or whoever you can get to vote, I won't descriminate, but only one vote per family household please.
