Jill & Andy- Maternity shoot

I had a fun day on Saturday hanging out with this couple and doing a maternity shoot. I haven't done a ton of these, so thanks guys for being patient with all the different poses and ideas. I think we got a bunch of cute shots. Doesn't hurt that they're such a cute couple! Here's a sample of my faves!

...My Girl...

Finally got a picture of her in her new chair!! Its hard now a days, she can move so fast. I Love it! I love how this first one turned out. The ear infection seems to be getting better, so we're all getting a little happier around here!

More Birthday Weekend

The Cake

Such a cute cake!! I found this place that made a cake for me at the last minute and it turned out awesome! She even got Stitch on the cake and included Leyton's favoite colors! (pink & brown! of course!). Here's the site if you want a really good cake!!

She wasn't too sure about the cake, and started to cry a bit when we sang Happy Birthday, but didn't seem to mind the taste in the end. Thanks for the birthday bib Grandma and Grandpa!

Some Birthday pics...

Well since it was Leyton's first birthday this week I decided we should go and get some photos done. So we headed out with the gear, and got a bunch of photos with her and her Dad, and a couple with the two of us. Everyone knows how hard it is to get a one year old to look at a camera for a picture. Well try it when the camera is on a tripod using a timer, with no one behind it to get her attention!! So I considered the last two a miracle. The shoot finished a little weird, we got chased out of the parking lot by a scary homeless guy and his shopping cart. (Ok maybe not chased, but we decided it was better to leave sooner than later!!) Good finish!

Randoms...

More to come, from b-day week!

Leyton's B-day Present (the chair)
It arrived early with Grandma and Grandpa, and Stitch & Lemonade her dolls were trying it out!

Orchid...

I have this orchid on the kitchen table, and I never in a million years thought that I would be able to get more than the first set of flowers on it (especially since it was from Home Depot)....but low and behold.... today....

These first two are from early this afternoon when I first noticed the orchid was open. The next pic is of the other two buds that will hopefully be next!! The next set of pics is from later on in the afternoon when the sun was going down, the light was so pretty hitting right on the petals, and I couldn't resist another couple of shots...I'm such a nerd!

Miss you Already!!

Thanks Uncle Tobin for the cute kitty bath towel!! And thanks Grandma and Grandpa for the baths, and playing and reading books for the past couple days...miss you already!!

Catherine Dawn

This little cutie was born on the 27th, and from the sounds of it was really ready to make her way into the world...her Mom says they almost didn't make it to the hospital in time!! We made sure to try and get at least one photo with her big brother Gary, then we waited around a bit for her to get into her "model" mode. I think they turned out great! I really liked the black and whites of this session, and the last shot is of my first attempt at a baby wrap, I've seen other examples of it, and unfortunately my first try wasn't the best, but it was a last shot try. Catherine was ready to be done to, and I'm sure the cheese cloth she was wrapped in was really "cheesing" her off!! Haha. Maybe we'll get it a bit better next time! Here's an example of what I'm talking about... http://barebaby.typepad.com/.shared/image.html?/photos/uncategorized/2007/12/05/229514021_65328ff4a6.jpg
